

Bob Bearden, 59, of Roswell, passed away on Nov. 29, 2010. Bob was born in Douglasville, Georgia, on October 15, 1951. He grew up in East Point, Georgia, and Norfolk, Virginia. After graduating from West Georgia College, Bob worked for AT& T and Lucent Technologies in Atlanta and Bedminster, New Jersey for over 27 years. From 1994-1996, he served as a loaned executive with the Atlanta Olympic Games. Bob was a cofounder of Boy Scout Troop 989 in 1993 and served as either Scoutmaster or Committee Chair since its founding. He was very proud that his troop has produced 16 Eagle Scouts in its short history. Bob was a devoted member of Northside church of Christ, serving as a deacon and an elder for many years. All of his family and friends will miss his gentle demeanor, his kind heart and his big hugs. Bob is survived by his lucky wife of 31 years, Kayron; sons - Allen and Robbie Bearden; parents - Keith & Betty Bearden; sisters - Patricia (Keith) Armes, Debbie (Bob) Cranston and Kay (Larry) Brite; brother - Andy (Paige) Bearden; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M., Friday, Dec. 3, at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, Georgia. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, Dec. 4 at Northside church of Christ, 10920 Woodstock Road, Roswell, Georgia with David Markwell officiating. He will be laid to rest at Green Lawn Cemetery following the service. Memorial contributions may be made in Bob's remembrance to Northside church of Christ or Friends of Scouting. Roswell Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
