

Charles “Chuck” Murray Chambers, 77, a cherished individual known for his kind, loving, caring, and humorous personality, left us on July 14, 2025 at home surrounded by family and friends. Born on September 24, 1947 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Chuck was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. He touched the lives of many with his profound sense of humor, warmth, creativity, curiosity, and gregarious, outgoing nature. Chuck was a generous friend and possessed an uncanny ability to connect to just about everyone. He possessed a brilliant mind, wicked wit, and an empathetic heart. He had a rare gift of building family wherever he found himself. He loved sharing his passion for gardening and collecting pottery and art.
He graduated from high school in 1965 and joined the Navy not long after. In 1970, he moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he lived the rest of his life. He held longtime positions at Grady Memorial Hospital, Burkharts Bar, Dillards Department Store, and Emory Johns Creek Hospital.
Chuck was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Gwen Chambers and his sister, Sandra Barth.
He is survived by sisters Sarah M. Chambers (Greenville, SC), Katherine M. Haley (Harper Heights, TX), and Charlene McDaniel (Savannah, GA), and several loving nieces, nephews, and friends. All will forever cherish his memory.
A Celebration of Life service will be held for Chuck on Sat. Oct 11, 2025 at 2pm at the Colonnade Restaurant: located at 1879 Cheshire Bridge Rd NE Atlanta, GA 30324.
