Cynthia "Cyndee" Louise Grady

Cyndee, as known to family and friends, was born in Spokane, Washington, on January 27, 1949, to Dexter Earl Pigott and Virginia Elaine Pigott (Nee Roloff). A US Navy brat from birth, Cynthia spent much of her youth moving from base to base while her father completed deployments in both the Korean and Vietnam wars. Finally settling in Santa Clara, California, in the late 1960s, she met the love of her life, G.P. “Mike” Grady, and the two were wed in December of 1970.

Homes in Ventura and Sonoma County, California, followed before finally settling in Roswell, Georgia in 1983. In addition to raising 5 children, Cyndee had a long and successful career in the beauty industry, starting as a makeup artist and ending her career as a regional manager for an international cosmetics brand. Along the way, she formed relationships that would last the rest of her life. As busy as her days might be, Cyndee always put her family and friends first, taking care of anyone in need and offering unconditional love and support to those around her. A grandmother to three, she thoroughly enjoyed the final arc of her life as "Nana" at the lake house.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Mike; her children, John of Gainesville, Georgia; Lynn of Brooklyn, New York; Michael and wife Kelly Grady of Milton, Georgia; Daniel and wife Angela Grady of Atlanta, Georgia; Jeff Grady and partner Christy Martin of Atlanta, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Steven Pigott of Sunnyvale, California.

A memorial service will be held in her honor at Roswell Funeral Home, Roswell, Georgia, on Friday, August 4, 2023, at 11 am.

Cyndee, a trusted confidant to all who knew her, loved freely and fearlessly and was considered a ‘mom’ to all of her extended family and children’s extended friend groups. She will be missed dearly.

Cynthia will be laid to rest in Green Lawn Cemetery, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell , Georgia 30076.
