Cynthia Ann "Cindy" (Perkins) Scott, formerly of Franklin, Indiana, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026, from complications of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Cindy was born in Flint, Michigan (June 1943). Her family later moved to Peru, Indiana, before moving to Franklin, Indiana where they operated the Lake Motel.
She attended Franklin High School and graduated in 1961. Cindy worked for the State of Indiana, American Fletcher National Bank, and Krieg DeVault Alexander and Kapart. After moving to Georgia, she worked for Contel. She sang in the choir at Mary Our Queen Catholic Church and later became a choir member of Saint Brigid Catholic Church.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Verl and Helen (Glassburn) Perkins; stepfather Kenneth Glassburn; and her brother Theodore Perkins.
In 1965, Cindy married Stanley Scott, also from Franklin, Indiana. She is survived by her husband; her children, David Scott, Jennifer (Collins), Christina Scott, and Laura Shapiro (Alexander); and her six grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
