Darlene was beloved by all who knew her. She was known for her kindness, generosity, sense of humor, patience, and chocolate chip cookies.
As a long-time preschool teacher, Ms. Darlene touched countless lives. Many of her former students still remember the love and patient encouragement they received from her. She treated everyone she knew like a dear member of her own family.
She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by friends and family alike, especially Todd, Amy, and Shelby and Chris, Janine, and Sean, along with her dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. A long-time resident of the Dayton, Ohio area, she will also be missed by the members of the churches of which she was a member.
Darlene is rejoicing to see again many loved ones who preceded her in death, including her dad and mom, her brother, Ted, and her three sisters-in-law: Pat, Kathy, and Judy. Most of all she is rejoicing to see her Savior Jesus, and to live with him in a world free of sickness, pain, and sadness.
Darlene will be remembered in a small private service. She will be laid to rest beside her parents in the sure and certain hope of the resurrection on the last day.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to the charity of your choice.
Darlene’s departure leaves a void in our hearts, but memories of her kind spirit will sustain us until we meet again.
