Died from a heart attack Sunday December 18, around 5:30pm peacefully at home
Born January 12, 1957 Detroit Michigan
Parents are Mussimo (deceased) and Frances Angelucci
He is survived by his mother, his sister Mary Markovich of Detroit, his brother Tom of Stevens PA, and his brother John of Cape Coral Fl.
He leaves behind his wife Pam, his four sons Mark, Josh, Matt and Mitch and three grandchildren Jack, Ava and Max.
David attended Cabrini High School in Detroit and graduated from Michigan Tech University with a degree in Engineering.
He had held many positions over the span of his working career but the job that he was most proud of was working for Intel Corporation as a Business Services Manager. David had many talents but the one that stood out was his ability to eloquently speak and write. Using this talent to its fullest David was extremely successful in business sales and relationships.
David had been a gifted athlete, a talent he used later in life to help his sons develop their own abilities in football, basketball, baseball and soccer. He could tell you just about every detail of every athlete who played any sport, but his favorite was football, a passion he shared with his son Mitch.
David loved life, always interested in people and wanting to be of value to others. He kept a long list of very close friends whom he had met from grade school, high school, college and his working years. He loved to research new things he heard about to fully understand and be able to give helpful advice to friends, he was happiest when he made someone else happy. David had over the most recent years developed a deep relationship with God and was a member of two different men’s groups who were devoted to developing their faith and helping other men know God.
David was very passionate about nature especially the environment at the ocean. His favorite place was Sanibel Island in Florida, where he could fondly remember his childhood vacations with his family. David never tired of visiting the nature preserve there, wondering the beaches looking for shells, and watching the perfect sunset as it slowly melted into the ocean. He will be laid to rest and have his ashes spread at the tip of Sanibel Island.
David fought a very long and difficult battle with cancer. This disease took his ability to speak and eat, gave him multiple disabilities and great pain to live with. He never gave up his fight to live and be with his family and friends. We are proud to have been a part of his life and been able to call him husband, father, son, brother and friend. We love you and miss you.
Memorial services will be held at 11am on Saturday January 7th at North Point Community Church in Alpharetta GA, as well as 9:30am on Saturday January 21 at Cabrini Catholic Church in Detroit Michigan.
