David was born to the late Frank Royal Loyd and the late Lillian Lewis Loyd on March 13, 1949 in Fayetteville, North Carolina, where he grew up. He is survived by his brother, Frank Royal Loyd Jr. and his wife Ann, also of Fayetteville.
His memory will be cherished by Dorothy, his wife of 50 years, his daughters Ginny (Trey), Heather, and Susan (Justin), his grandchildren Lily, Emmie, Kayla, Nicholas, Wyatt, Kathryn, Bode and Tater; and many extended family members and friends.
The Loyd family will receive friends on Sunday, January 9th from 2:30 PM until 3:00 PM at Roswell Funeral Home where services will be held at 3:00PM with Steven Brumbeloe officiating. A reception will immediately follow at the funeral home.
