David was a graduate of Crawford High School in San Diego, California. He was a devoted family man whose greatest pride and joy was the life he built with his loved ones. When he married his wife, Debra, he lovingly embraced her two daughters as his own, never believing in the word “step,” but instead in unconditional love and family.
For much of his children’s early years, David dedicated himself to being a stay-at-home dad, a role he cherished deeply. He was a steady and caring presence, always putting his family first. In his free time, he enjoyed rebuilding cars and working with tools.
David is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Debra Ann Porcher; his children, Stephen Porcher (Leah), Sandra Cabezas (Jason), and Jennifer Friend (Joe); and his grandchildren, Leanna, Maelissa, Kathryn, Kevin, Amber, Jamie, and Amanda.
David will be laid to rest on April 10, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at Green Lawn Cemetery, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, Georgia 30076.
David will be remembered for his quiet strength, his unwavering love for his family, and the kindness he showed to those around him.
