

Erik John Wallin of Roswell, GA passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 3, 2015. He was born in Miami, Florida on July 12, 1974, and moved to Atlanta, GA at the age of 3 with his parents. He grew up in East Cobb and graduated from Walton High School, where he played on the state championship varsity tennis team. He attended Furman University and graduated from the University of Georgia in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. During his time at UGA he attended foreign study at the University of Seville in Spain, where he mastered proficiency of the Spanish language. A long career in technology sales and consulting led to the co-founding of Shadow-Soft in 2008, an award winning open-source systems integration company, recognized as Red Hat 2014 commercial and public sector partner of the year.
He met the love of his life, Stephanie Vonarx in 2000 and they married on December 31, 2009. Erik was a passionate musician that played percussion and was rebirthing a vintage line of conga drums called King Conga.
Erik was always a devoted son and brother and an amazing husband and father. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor, magnetic personality, his huge heart and his love for music. His fondness of the water at an early age drew him to a life-long interest in boating. As an adult he developed a passion for cooking and was truly the chef for his whole family.
He is survived by his loving wife Stephanie, 4-year old daughter Sunny, 8-week old twins Tinsley and Townes, by his parents Ann and Rex Wallin, sister Jenna, sister and brother-in-law Shelley and Paul Ritten, nieces and nephew, Carson, Colby and Sydney Ritten and hundreds of devoted friends.
Funeral services will be held in Inglett Hall at Holy Innocents Church, 805 Mt. Vernon Highway, Atlanta, GA 30327 at 11am Saturday, May 9, 2015.
