

Jim is survived by his wife, Maureen, and four children: James (Jr.) of Peachtree Corners, GA, William of Worthington, OH, Patrick of Frankfurt, Germany, and Maureen of Greensboro, NC. He was the adoring grandfather of Merritt, Corbin, Jonah, Jack, Peter, Sumner, and Aislin. He is also survived by brothers William, John, Thomas, and his beloved sister Julia.
Jim was born in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of William G. Blum and Juliet Blum. After graduating high school, he attended the University of Notre Dame, graduating in 1964. He was proud that all of his children are also graduates of his alma mater.
While serving with the U.S. Navy in Japan, he met Maureen C. Casey and the two were married in 1968. They remain inseparable today, notwithstanding his passing.
He had several hobbies and interests with giving folks a hard time, Notre Dame football, and auto racing being high on the list. However, his only true passion was his family and friends.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on May 30th, 2015, at St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church 11330 Woodstock Road, Roswell, GA 30075
Mass will be followed by 12:15 p.m. graveside service at Green Lawn Cemetery,950 Mansell Road, Roswell, GA 30076.
