Born March 10, 1931, in Braddock, Pennsylvania, Papa was a gifted athlete who played baseball and managed his high school football and basketball teams. A born-again Christian who loved the Lord, he read the Bible as his final book.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army, earned a Mechanical Engineering degree from Carnegie Tech, and built a long career in engineering and technical sales. He later retired to The Villages, Florida, where he enjoyed golf—shooting two holes-in-one—pickleball, Disney trips, and cruising.
Papa was preceded in death by his beloved wife of many years, Dolores, and his daughter Kimberly.
He is survived by his children: Jamie Thomas-Fisher (Robert), Mark Meininger (Esther), Kurt Meininger (Wendy), and Scott Meininger (Sunni), along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
