James Wilbanks, 86, of Cumming, Georgia passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. James was known for his sweet, gentle spirit and his dedication and love for family. James was loved and admired by anyone who had the privilege to know him. He retired from Fulton County after 35 years of service. He enjoyed living on Lake Lanier, boating and fishing, model building, and in his later years, attending tractor shows and restoring antique tractors. James was a devoted supporter of Roswell High School basketball for more than 35 years and was recently honored for that support by RHS. James was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Margie Wilbanks. He is survived by his brother, Bill Wilbanks of Brandon FL, and many nieces/nephews, great nieces/nephews and great-great nieces/nephews. The family will receive friends and loved ones from noon until 1:45 pm on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Roswell Funeral Home. A funeral service to celebrate his life will immediately follow in the Roswell Funeral Home Chapel. the family asks that donations be made to the Homestead Hope Foundation at 10888 Crabapple Road Roswell, GA 30075.
