Sgt. Jerrell D. Stennett, age 29, of Alpharetta, passed away November 16, 2014. Last Honor’s Services will be held 9:00 am Friday, November 28, 2014 in the Chapel of Roswell Funeral Home. Interment will follow, with full military honors, in Georgia National Cemetery, Canton. Sgt. Stennett was a 2003 Graduate of Milton High School; and attended Southern Union and the University of West Georgia. He was an Airborne Sgt. with the U.S. Army’s 1st Special Forces Group. Sgt. Stennett was an outdoors man: avid bow hunter and fly fisherman; loved the Atlanta Braves, New York Yankees, and his diesel truck; not to mention his dogs, Havok and Colt, and cats: Snaggles, Archer, and Mitch.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine Stennett. Father, Aston Stennett and mother, Dr. Varieta Benjamin. Sister: Tanya Stennett and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday afternoon from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at Roswell Funeral Home.
