John,
The last few months of our journey passed quickly but our time and adventures together will be in my memories and heart forever.  Maybe for the wrong reasons, I was very impressed by you, for your fortitude and determination to pursue what your desired most.  I am grateful for your honesty, too, and willingness to share your fears, challenges, and hopes.  We did not judge each other, and I suppose that is what made our friendship special.

Our journeys will continue without you physically, but with the comfort that  you will be spiritually with us.

I pray that you have found peace, John.  Know that I and your Uncle Allen love you.  You are missed.
