Mrs. Joy Thompson, 86, of Roswell, Georgia, passed away July 20, 2014. Joy's life was about taking care of people from her family and friends to her dialysis patients and anyone in need. She loved her military life with her husband, Tommy, and with her dog, Fritz. She is preceded in death by her loving husband and best friend, George "Tommy" Thompson and is survived by her sons, Russell (Sue) Funk, Gary (Choe) Funk; daughters, Debbie (Ed) Szczepanski, Cathy Thompson; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Bob Anderson; sister, Glory Gay. A Celebration of Joy's life will take place at Roswell Funeral Home on July 24, 2014 at 11:00 am.
