

Mrs. Judy Shell of Roswell, Georgia passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family on Friday, July 16, 2010. Judy was born on February 27, 1937 to John and Polly Ulmer of Little Rock, Arkansas. Judy graduated from Little Rock High School in 1954, and married Edward "Ed" Dwight Shell on January 21, 1955. She is survived by her husband, Ed Shell, and by the families of her two children: her son, Dwight Shell, his wife Terri Shell, and their children – Kenneth Shell, Samuel Shell, Katie Shell Pointer, and her husband Allen Pointer; and her daughter, Cynthia Shell Gantz, and her family, including her husband, Kevin Gantz, and their children - Allison Gantz, Sumner Gantz, and Emerson Gantz. She is also survived by her mother, Polly Ulmer; her brother, John Ulmer, both of Little Rock, AR; and her sister, Joan Pletcher of Ocala, FL. Judy was a long time member of Roswell United Methodist Church and was on staff as an Administrative Assistant for many years. She was a current member of Northbrook United Methodist Church. Judy will be remembered as a wonderful and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Friday July 23rd at Roswell Funeral Home located at 950 Mansell Road in Roswell, Georgia. Her Memorial Service will be held at Northbrook United Methodist Church, located at 11225 Crabapple Road in Roswell, on Saturday July 24th at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to Northbrook UMC. Family arrangements are under the care of Roswell Funeral Home.
