Keith was born on February 26, 1955, in Atlanta, Georgia, the son to the late Steven and Mildred Collins(even though he always claimed to be a poor boy from South Georgia trying to make a living in this cruel world).
He was a very kind and generous soul always willing to help those in need and put wind in the sails of anyone needing the extra push. His presence was a gift to all and will be remembered and cherished by all who met him.
His otherworldly work ethic, laser focus, and dedication to the task at hand never went unnoticed. From his days on the football field at Wofford College as “#71 in your program, #1 in your heart” all throughout his career as a negotiating, wheeling and dealing, Human Resources guru, Keith left a lasting impression with everyone he came in contact with - from the janitors to the CEOs, being sure to make the smallest man or woman in the room feel like a king or queen on any given day.
Keith enjoyed spending his days at the pool(he was there whether the weather cooperated or not), smoking more cigars than most could fathom, listening to the finest curated playlists of music cranked all way up, drinking small-batch bourbon, and keeping a home tidy & spotless enough to entertain the President in the middle of any given night. To say he “enjoyed” the beach is quite the understatement, frequently vacationing in Key West and Destin, Florida. Most of all, Keith enjoyed vacuuming the stairs at 6:15 AM followed by blowing all the leaves off his lawn to wake all his beloved children for the day of chores and monotonous tasks ahead(just kidding about that part, but not really). He (GENUINELY) most loved his family, spending time with them, pouring into them, and molding them into who they are today. He never missed a baseball game, football game, dance recital, or school play. He was Superman except 71 times more handsome than Clark Kent on his best day.
Keith was an outstanding father, grandfather, and friend. His life and love for his family will always be cherished in the lives who knew him and his legacy will live on through his children and all of those on whom he made such an impact.
Mr. Keith Collins is preceded in death by his son Andrew Collins and survived by his brothers Forrest(Roseanne) and Steve Collins; sister June Clark; sons Hunter and Cole Collins (Jennifer); daughters Remington and Rachel Collins; granddaughter Scarlett Collins and countless relatives and friends.
