Mary Hart Bolling

Mary Hart Bolling, wife of the late Charles R. Bolling entered into eternal rest at the age of ninety-five on May 25, 2022 in Alpharetta, GA. She was born on January 5, 1927 in Bowling Green, VA to the late Laura Samuels. Mary is predeceased by five of her children: Charles “Bobby” Bolling, Jr, Mary Ellen Beaver, Lawrence “Larry” Bolling, Juanita Zellous, and Raymond Bolling. Mary is survived by two of her children: Barbara Scales and Carlton Bolling, both of Alpharetta, GA.

Mary was a devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother. She worked in the home, caring for her husband, children and later her grandchildren. Mary also held various jobs outside of the home including Topps Discount Store, G. Fox, and Easter Seals.

Mary was living in Alpharetta, GA since 2014 with her two surviving children, Carlton & Barbara who were her caregivers. She considered Hartford, CT her home where she lived for over 60 years but had also lived in Washington, D.C., and Richmond, VA.

Mary was also predeceased by aunts Martha Ballard, Iva Armstead, brother Herman “Peter” Carter, sister Julia A. Washington, and granddaughters Angela Bolling and Paula M. Bolling. Mary is also survived by three siblings and fifteen grandchildren: James Coleman and Cecilia Smith of Ruther Glen, VA, Mack Coleman of Hague, VA, Yolanda Harris of Stone Mountain, GA, Robert Beaver, Jr. and Jacqueline McCall of East Hartford, CT, Kristina Caldwell of Statesboro, GA, Carlton Bolling, Jr. of Pocono, PA, Desiree Martin of Savannah, GA, Justina Walker of Ashburnham, MA, Larence Bolling, Jr. of Pittsfield, MA, Gregory Bolling of Hartford, CT, Rhonda Bolling of Manchester, CT, Deanna Bolling of Springfield, MA, Heather Bolling, Bobby W. Linn-Bolling, Tommy Wright, Charlie Bolling and numerous great-grandchildren.

Mary was a kind and generous lady and will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

A visitation for Mary will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, GA 30076. A celebration of life will occur Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, GA 30076. A committal service will occur Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Green Lawn Cemetery & Mausoleum, 950 Mansell Rd, Roswell, GA 30076.
