

Muriel Louise Lynn, 87 died May 30th. Muriel was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. A native of New York, NY, she was one of five daughters. She attended New York City public schools and met her husband of more than 50 years, James (Bill) William Lynn, Jr. Together, they raised four children – Michael, William, Timothy and Maryann. She is preceded in death by her son William in 2003 and then widowed in 2008.
She was a homemaker raising three boys and one girl. Over the years she worked as a bank teller at Peoples National Bank in Selden, NY and then office manager at The Crooked Creek Country Club in Miami, Fl. She then worked in a similar position for Dade County at The Palmetto Country Club. After relocating to Roswell, GA she then worked as an office manager at a small consulting firm.
She cared for her ailing in-laws in Miami and Roswell, and then later cared for her ailing mother who lived in Tamarac, FL. After all was said and done, she and Bill relocated to Panama City Beach for several years and a few hurricanes before relocating again to Tallmadge, OH. After many years in Tallmadge and following the death of her husband Bill, she relocated again back to the Atlanta area, specifically Clairmont Crest, an independent senior community in the Toco Hills area. Years later, she then moved to an assisted living facility in Roswell.
She and Bill enjoyed traveling. She was a lover of music, cooking, the sun and beach and had a sharp sense of humor. She loved shopping, going out to dinner and red wine. Everyone loved her. She was a breast cancer survivor and also a devout Roman Catholic after converting to the faith in her early years.
Muriel is survived by her three children, Michael (Betsy), Timothy (Jack) Maryann (Steven) daughter-in-law Doris; grandchildren Austin (Nicole), Kelsey (Matt), Jacob, and Mason; great grandchildren Emerson and Harper.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 9:00 o'clock in the morning. Committal will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 2:15 o'clock in the afternoon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul in Muriel Lynn's memory.
