Myra Lynn Wright

To the union of John and Lenore four children were born Edgar, Lana, Robert and Myra Lynn the youngest. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Edgar.

There in Summersville Myra grew up as a smart, popular young lady that engaged and excelled in a multitude of activities. After graduating from Nicholas County High School, Myra went on to further her education at West Virginia University (WVU), and received several degrees which included a master degree in the field of Educational Psychology, and completing all but dissertation (A.B.D), towards an Education Doctor degree.

She applied her educational background to her work at WVU in multiple areas including teaching and research. After leaving WVU, she continued expanding her work experiences working at Mitsubishi Semiconductor of America, Inc., the Federal Reserve in Atlanta and Delta Airlines Corp. in Atlanta, GA.

These are but a few of the moments of Myra Lynn life.

Reflects of life, Myra imparted with us her kind sprit, love of animals especially dogs (she had a few during her time), and her great passion for reading and knowledge. Myra was a great conversationalist and enjoyed people where ever she met them, sharing her life experiences. She could captivate her audience with her warm smile and great laughter. Sadly, Myra’s sudden illness were too overbearing and she was called to her heavenly home during the night of April 10, 2023.

She will be dearly missed and is survived by her faithful and loving husband Leonard Grant, brother, Robert and wife Linda Wright of Charleston, WV; sister, Lana and husband Monty Cox of New Market, Virginia; sister-in-law, Ellen Wight of Fayetteville, PA.; step daughter, Felice and husband Larry Johnson of Pittsburgh PA.; stepson, Jameel Grant of Baltimore Md.; one aunt, Betty Eye of Summersville, WV., and three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

A Graveside Service will be held to celebrate Myra's Life on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 11:00AM at Green Lawn Cemetery 950 Mansell Road Roswell, GA 30076
