Norma Jeanne Hamilton, age 92, of Duluth, passed away June 7, 2018. Norma was born on August 5, 1925 to Rulo Spargur in Greenfield, Iowa. She graduated in 1945 from Greenfield High School in Greenfield, Iowa.
After graduation she married Kenneth V. Hamilton in 1945 and moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa where she was the receptionist-Secretary for Washington High School for 11 years.
She moved to Atlanta in 1971 where she continued her career as a receptionist for many local businesses and later became a leasing agent . Norma was a devoted mother to her son Gene L. Hamilton.
Norma enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was active in many clubs playing Bridge. Her family often referred to her as a social butterfly as she loved spending time with people and staying active. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone she interacted with.
Preceded in death by her son Gene L. Hamilton and great granddaughter Morgan M. Popejoy. Survivors include her granddaughters Michelle Coombs and Jeanette Hamilton, grandson-in-law Bobby Coombs and Andrew Langmaid, great grandson Joshua Harvey and Jacob Coombs, and great great grandchildren Taylor Harvey and Riley Popejoy as well as extended family Dick and Pam Printup.
Norma will be laid to rest at Green Lawn Cemetery in Roswell, Georgia.
