Norma was a beloved Mother and Grandmother. She was known for her kindness and generosity but also her fighting spirit. Even up until her last days nurses were commenting on how fiery she was. But what is most remarkable is Norma’s dedication to her family. Most days, Norma could be found at her grandchildren’s baseball/football/tennis/basketball/soccer/lacrosse games/cross county meets; musical recitals; providing driving lessons; attending drama club performances and plays; attending grandparent’s days at schools; she loved playing cards and caring for her rescue dog, Rascal. She loved spending special time with each grandchild for their birthdays, taking them out for a special lunch and birthday shopping. But she also loved getting them all together during the Holidays to bake pies and cookies. She loved beach trips with her family and looked forward to those trips all year. She was an only child but created a large family where she instilled the same sense of family dedication in her children.
Throughout her life - both at work and at home, Norma touched the lives of countless individuals through her positivity, compassion and general concern for others. She never met a stranger and cherished her friendships. She loved being out and about and loved her part-time job with Hallmark, which she carried on until late last year. She was not one to slow down.
Norma will be deeply missed by her daughter, Jennifer, and her husband Duane and her two sons, Jason and his wife Yasmeen and Robbie and his wife Brittany, as well as her grandchildren Dylan, Harrison, Sophia, Peighton, Asher, Weston, Emerson, and Bennett. She will also be missed by her many other friends and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her father and mother Homer and Mildred Chant.
A memorial service will be held at Roswell Funeral Home (950 Mansell Rd, Roswell) on Friday June 13, 2025 at 10:30am. Followed by her funeral at Arlington Memorial Park (201 Mount Vernon Hwy, Sandy Springs at 12pm.
