

Robert “Bob” Thomas Schloemer Jr., aged 76, passed away peacefully in his home on May 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 1, 1948 to Mr. Robert Thomas Schloemer Sr. and Mrs. Shirley H. Schloemer in St. Louis, MO.
Bob was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife of 43 years; Carolyn Pons Schloemer and his brother Kurt Schloemer. He will be deeply missed by his four children Kimberly Hanna (Brad) of Cumming, GA, Kristin Schloemer Bryant (Roger) of Smyrna, GA, Lynn Allen Norton (Jim) of Valrico, FL and Bob Allen (Sue) of Jacksonville, FL and his six grandchildren Matt Estes (Leighanne), Bradley Norton, Nate Hanna, Wesley Hanna, Libby Hanna and Rowan Bryant plus his 2 great-grandchildren Garrett Estes and Joshua Estes.
He was a career entrepreneur. He earned his B.S. degree in Business Administration in 1971 from West Georgia College (now known as University of West Georgia) where he was a founding member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity, Theta Pi Chapter. Upon graduation, he landed a job in Miami, Florida selling printing services. He returned to the Atlanta area with his family and opened Roswell Ace Hardware in Roswell, Georgia in 1976 until he retired in 2000. During that time, he was an active member of the Roswell Rotary Club and served as President of North Fulton Chamber of Commerce.
Bob was an avid golfer and a member of Settindown Golf Club in Roswell, GA. He made three hole-in-ones during his years of play. He also loved keeping a beautiful yard and garden. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and friends.
A gathering will be held on a later date to celebrate Bob’s life in the manner he would love: family, friends, food and drinks.
