

Sandra “Joyce” (Donaldson) Lee, age 76, passed away at Emory Johns Creek Hospital in Johns Creek, Georgia on March 5th, 2025. She was born on June 21st, 1948 in St. Louis, Missouri, the third oldest of nine children, to John Donaldson and Essie Lee (McInnis) Donaldson. The family later moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Fate brought Sandra (Joyce) and her ex-husband Lloyd D. Lee together in Milwaukee, Wisconsin during their high school years, and finally together in matrimony on November 23rd, 1968. Together they welcomed daughter, Dina Lynn Lee, and son, Brandon Edward Lee.
Sandra “Joyce” had many life experiences; she spent time as a military spouse in the United States Air Force, spending memorable years in Rialto, California, Kaiserslautern, Germany, and Aurora, Colorado. She later relocated to Kennesaw, Georgia and Plano, Texas. In her earlier years, she enjoyed a career in Information Technology as a Project Manager with companies like IBM and Hewlett-Packard. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree, and Master of Business Administration degree, as well as a Georgia real-estate license. She took a variety of interests such as, selling clothing and Paparazzi jewelry, as she was a woman of style. Sandra “Joyce” enjoyed reading, traveling, listening to R&B music, and watching Joel Osteen and true-life movies. Her greatest accomplishment and what was most dear to her heart was the love and care for her children and grandchildren. She was confidently out-spoken, sweet and caring, made friends easily, had a deep desire to help others in need, and often brought laughter during challenging times.
Sandra “Joyce” leaves unforgettable, cherished memories with ex-husband Lloyd (Nadine) Lee; daughter, Dina Lee of Johns Creek, GA; son, Brandon (Maria) Lee of Elizabeth, CO; brothers, Dennis Donaldson and Richard Donaldson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; sisters, Renee (Jonathan) Bush of Midlothian,TX, Deborah (Nickles) of Owens Crossroads, AL, and Stacey (Mark) Boydell of Bonney Lake, Washington; several nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and dear friends. She was predeceased by her mother, father, two brothers, John Donaldson Jr., Freddy Donaldson, one sister Norma (Donaldson) Nichols, and beloved son Damon Terrell Lee.
While our hearts are broken, her spirit will forever live on. As we treasure the precious memories, the entire family takes comfort in knowing she is now resting in eternal peace with Our Heavenly Father.
Sandra’s family will hold a celebration of life service on Saturday, March 15th at Roswell Funeral Home & Green Lawn Cemetery, Roswell, Georgia at 10 AM. A meal and intimate gathering will be held immediately following the service.
