Hey Big Brother.  Sorry I didn't get a chance to write this before --- things happened so fast.  I remember being in grade school when President Kennedy was shot; I had no idea what was going on and came home from school to tell you he had been "evacuated".  You gently explained to me what had really happened.  You've always been the person I looked to for stability.  Whenever I needed to feel grounded I went to you.  I'm going to miss that Bill; I'm going to miss that so much..  Rest now, Bill.  You deserve it.  Brett

Today's memorial service for Bill was so moving.  I knew he was a great man but I didn't realize what a GREAT family man he was and how smart and gifted he was.  Besides having a connection with Bill at our congregation, we were also both University of Oregon alumni.  I wore green and yellow today in loving memory of Bill.  I loved hearing everyone's eulogies today but when his son, Chad, spoke about his dad, that is when I wanted to cry.  I loved the stories of TV time, breakfast pancakes, driving the 4-wheeler on the beach (and seeing a photo of that memorable event) , and the pretending to still be asleep so dad would carry him to bed so he would feel the comfort and love being held in his father's arms.  Wow!  What a tribute to a great man.  I am going to miss him.

Will miss you Bill, your smile, gentleness &  thoughtfulness; We had lots of laughs in Israel 2015. Prayers with your family.

I worked with Bill for almost 20 years at IAD and he was such a good man. I am so sorry for your loss and I'm sure he will be greatly missed. My prayers are with your family.
