In March 1938, Aning married VICENTE M. SALUMBIDES (former Judge of Tagkawayan, Quezon). Their 50-year union bore thirteen (13) children: Maria Concepcion (Baby), Vicente, Jr. (Junior), Inocenta (Tita), Jose Faustino (Tinoy), Maura Lourdes (Maureen), Maria Anicia (Annie), Maria Priscilla (Precy), Luis Angelo (Luis), Manuel Antonio (Manny), Maria Luisa (Malu), Guillermo Rafael (Gil), Maria Isabel (Bel/Isa) and Maria Socorro (Cor).

Her sons and daughters in–law whom she loved, like her own, are (past and present): Salvador Lusterio (Deceased), Russell McCoy (Deceased), Erlinda Eleazar (Deceased), Eduardo Frondoso, Necy Flores, Susan Miranda (Deceased), Simplicia Rodriguez, Edgardo David, Alexander Tagle, Oliver Vasquez, Maria Elena Villasenor, Edgardo Sangalang, Evelyn Dela Cruz, Jose Cabral, Claudee Calangi, Jose del Barrio, Linda Salumbides, Consuelo Salumbides (Deceased) and Criselda Salumbides.

She had 38 grandchildren: Buddie, Maris, Techie, Hope, Noel (Deceased); Veronica, Fernando, Rowena, Olga (Deceased), Rica, Vicente III, Elizabeth; Tesa, Tina, Edward; Joy, Joseph; Vincent, Elaine, Edgar; Joan Alexandria, Joan Elaine, Alex, Oliver Lee, Chona; Grace, Francis; Miguel, Michelle, Anne; Kirsten; Mica, Gibo, Melanie, Melissa, Ethan; Gabrielle, Danielle; Jorinna, Paolo; Alma, Alvin; and Achelle.

She had 36 great grandchildren: Korinne, Kevin; Krystle, Kyle; Karen, Kean; Warren, Joshua, Jacob; Kristian; Ryan, Jessica; Vicente IV, Isabella, Cassandra, Jeremiah; Ian, Patricia; Ava; Nikka, Andre’, Sophie; Kiara, Kobe, Kaylee, Kaydee; TJ, Toby; Fiorella; Nathan; Kylie; Maddie, Mia, Matthew; Jackson, Jauie, Cabbie.

Aning joined her Maker on June 25, 2016 after receiving the last rites at 3 pm, the Hour of Mercy.

Aning’s life was shaped by her never-ending trust in God. Her faith yielded her a fruitful life lived in peace and with simple pleasures. Her dark days were outnumbered by sunny ones. Had she had the time she would have been a travel blogger or a Facebook regular because she adapted herself throughout the almost ten decades she travelled the earth.
