Bellevina (Belle) Smith, resident of Sacramento passed away on Tuesday, May 1st, 2018 at Mercy General Hospital at the age of 95 years old. Belle Smith was born on November 6, 1922 in Atwater, California to Marion and Marian Goularte. When Belle was 4 years old, she moved to Modesto with her parents and older sister Iris. Belle graduated from Modesto High School in 1941. Married to Gene Faria for 17 years. She worked at S.H. Kress and Company through 1966. Upon her move to Sacramento and marriage to Clark V. Smith, she started employment with Bank of America at the Fruitridge Manor Branch. Upon retirement in 1987, she enjoyed spending special time with her family in the Central Valley and in the San Francisco Bay Area. A member of the Native Daughters for over 75 years and United Ancient Order of the Druids.
Her son, Norm Faria (Donna), Granddaughters Jennifer Monge (Pete), Stacey Shirk (Michael) and three great-grandchildren survive her. Her sister, Iris Pometta, survives her and numerous nieces and nephews based out of the Central Valley. Preceded in death by husband Clark V. Smith, Sister Lois Lyons and brother-in-laws, John Pometta and Robert Lyons. She was an amazing wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, godmother and friend with whomever she met. She will be sadly missed.
The funeral service will be held on May 8, 2018 at 11:00am at All Hallows Church, 5500 13th Ave., Sacramento, CA., followed by interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
