Brian Leonard Miller

Brian Leonard Miller was born in Sacramento, California on November 7, 1959 to Bill L Miller and Darlene L Dugoni. He passed away peacefully on June 19, 2014. Brian graduated from Alexander Ramsey High, St. Paul, MN. He attended Cosumnes River College and had a 23 year career with Lucky Stores. He was a member of Thrivent for Lutherans. Brian had a life long love of baseball, playing in Little League and amateur leagues. His passions were the SF Giants and Oakland Raiders, guitar, fishing, crafts, and gardening. Brian was a man of compassion and faith. He was caregiver for his paternal grandmother, Zelma, before her death. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, beloved stepfather John V Dugoni, cousin Michael Hicks and uncle Dan Hicks. He is survived by his beloved mother Darlene, sister Julia (Bill) Spiry, brother Christopher (Lorrie) Miller, family Peggy & Tom Partington, Jim & Evelyn Miller, cousins Keith Miller & Kevin Miller, Shelly Salazar, 2 nieces, 3 nephews and friends. Services to be held at East Lawn, Sacramento on Monday, June 30 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Sacramento Babe Ruth League, 10824 Olson Drive, Suite C-125, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670. "I could not stay another day to laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way. I found peace at the close of day."
