Well, Chuck, the last reunion of the Sacramento Army Depot was held, the officers club was refurbished, attendence was good, old pictures were divvied up, whse 2 had grass on the berm. We missed you, so enjoy your current assignments. arne.

Dear Mrs. Davis and Family,
I was so sorry to hear of the loss of your dear husband, father, and grandfather. I have so many happy memories of my high school days at Bishop Manogue, and the closeness and friendship I shared with him, you, and all of your family. My thoughts, prayers, and deepest sympathy are with you during this difficult time. Having lost my father not quite two years ago now, I understand how hard this can be for everyone, and I am grateful that we have our faith to turn to in this time of need. Today and always, may loving memories bring you peace, comfort, and strength. I know he will live on forever in your hearts.

May God bless the Davis family in this time of sorrow.

My thoughts and heart are with you all as you travel on this journey. Having lost both parents over the last couple years, I know your agony of watching your parent suffer then your sense of relief with their passing. I also know the heart tearing pain, and sense of loss you all will be feeling. Know that all the love within your family and memories, your love of your own kids, and your knowledge of the importance of your father in other people's lives, will all help to bring you comfort and peace. Love each other, be kind to yourselves, and let other's do for you (your gift to them). And when you feel that searing pain that comes with your loss, think of Chuck leaning back with a slight smile on his face watching his family; kids talking over each other and laughing, grandkids dancing around the room and squealing. You were his world, he was your greatest fan, and his love will get you through this.

I only met Chuck Davis once and that was at Mike and Carol's wedding.  But having worked with Mike for 25 years, I have a vivid sense of his father's character as Mike speaks of him often and with great affection and admiration.  Mike, you rewarded your father by being an honest and generous man, a conscientious and valuable contributor to society, a loving and thoughtful father and husband, and a good-humored friend who is always ready with a story.  Charles Davis had much to be proud of.

My heart goes out to Luella and the Davis family, so sad to hear of your loss.  Chuck was such a wonderful man to know at the Depot, and a joy to work with.  His sense of humor was so welcomed.  I remember him dancing the night away at his retirement party at the O'Club, with his entire family surrounding him -- to the songs "Celebrate" and "We Are Family".  His children were a testament to his character and love. Our prayers are with you.

Well, Chuck, I see you are not going to personally attend the final reunion of the Sacramento Army Depot on June 13 at the Officers Club.  We will miss you.  P.S. If you find out where the SAAD 14 foot Eagle and Uncle Sam are on your new assignment, let me know.

Chuck was a good friend and co worker at the Army Depot, my wife Betty and I also enjoyed spending time with his family doing fun things away from the Depot. He will be missed by all of his friends. My deepest sympathy to the family
