

Frank Joseph Munoz, 85, passed away on December 14, 2016 in Rancho Cordova, CA. He was born October 4th, 1931 in Watsonville, CA. His parents were Michaela and Angel Munoz. Frank was married to his beloved wife Connie on April 9, 1950 in the Mission San Juan Bautista Church. They were married for 64 years, until Connie passed away in December 2014.
In his early working career, Frank owned a trucking company with his father, hauling cement and produce all over the state of California. Frank was also a proud member of the Teamsters Union and Operating Engineers Local 3 for over 50 years. As an operating engineer Frank worked on many of the major highways and interstates in the state of California. He retired on January 1, 1991 after over 42 years of hard and honest labor. He was also a member of the Rancho Cordova Elks Lodge #2484. In his retirement, he enjoyed golf, gardening, traveling around the country with Connie in his Airstream trailer and taking care of his backyard hummingbirds. He was a member of Saint John Vianney Catholic Church in Rancho Cordova.
Frank is survived by his daughters Linda Haviland (John) of Vacaville, Stella Hoffman (Fritz) of Fair Oaks, and his son Frank Munoz (Jayne) of Virginia Beach, VA. He leaves five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, his sister Margie Yowell and many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. Frank will always be remembered as a hard worker, loving husband, caring father and faithful friend. He will be missed by all.
A memorial mass and interment will take place in the Slakey Chapel of St. Mary’s Cemetery , 6509 Fruitridge Rd., Sacramento on January 28th, at 10 am.
