I was born in a little town in Texas called Pampa. My mother and father were traveling from Oklahoma to California and stopped in Pampa to visit my mother's sister. They realized they were not going to make it to CA before I was born. They waited until I was old enough to travel then moved to CA. In 1932, My father, John Blount, was killed in a terrible auto accident and my mother was severly injured. My mother remarried 3 years later to Wes Hall. Over the years our family grew to seven. My brothers JT and John Blount, Leonard Hall, Duane Hall(who died at 7 weeks), Alfred Hall, Donna Hall and Richard Hall. At the end of WW2 with my brother in the Marines, I joined as well I was 17 years old. After discharge from the Marines, I went to visit family in Ardmore, Oklahoma, and stayed for several months working for my uncles. I could never realize my wish to go to college while at home due to family responsibilities, so joined the Air Force to be able to go to school. I was baptized into the Catholic Church. I was raised in a very strict Pentecostal environment so there some differences to be ironed out. I developed an exceptionally close relationship with Mary's mother, Madeline. In September 1952, I was discharged by the Air Force and joined the civilian ranks of the Air Force. I dated Mary Ellen for 3 years and we were married February 14, 1953.We had three beautiful children, Madeline, George Jr., and Christopher. In 1966 I was transferred to McClellan AFB in Sacramento. I qualified against 60 other people for a position as a Logistics Officer and the family moved to England for two years. This was a highlight of my career and our family experiences. I sang in our church choir, square danced, read books voraciously, camped and RVed, and served as a trustee in the Carmichael Elks Lodge. In April 2008, I married again a wonderful woman, Patricia. We were married for 9 terrific years. I gained 2 sons and daughter-in-laws and a few more grandchildren. It has been a very full and satisfying life. I thank God for all I have had.
