Harry Champas, born on May 1, 1930 in Berkeley, CA to loving parents Nicholas and Mary Champas, passed away on Thanksgiving Day, his favorite holiday, Nov. 27, 2014, in Sacramento, CA. Beloved husband of Sonia Champas for 57 years. Beloved father of Tonia Champas, Nicolette Prewett, and Stephanie (Michael) Lee. Proud grandpa to 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Loving brother to Jim (Alberta) and Milton (Betty) Champas and their families. All who knew him, loved him. He was loyal, generous and kind. As an artist, his creative talents shined through in everything that he did. His two passions were restoring classic Packard automobiles, and gardening. An educator for 40 years, he inspired many to be their best, believe in their dreams, and change their lives by always imagining that anything is possible. He will be missed beyond measure. Trisagion service will be at Nicoletti, Culjis and Herberger Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd., Sacramento, at 7pm, Wed., Dec. 3. Funeral service will be at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 600 Alhambra Blvd., Sacramento, at 12:30 p.m. on Thurs., Dec. 4.
