James Duane Tostenson

James Duane Tostenson was born on February 19, 1932 in Lisbon, North Dakota to Theodore and Tena Tostenson. He grew up in Lisbon with 3 brothers and 2 sisters. He enlisted in the Navy after graduating high school. Upon completion of service he moved to Fargo, North Dakota where he attended North Dakota State University. He married Margaret Nogowski on September 28, 1957.

James and Margaret moved to California in October 1957. James accepted a position at Lockheed Missiles and Space Company in Sunnyvale. He worked there until retiring on 1992. James and Margaret retired to Sacramento in 1993 where James resided until his passing.

James enjoyed tending to his beautiful yard and working with his model trains. He and Margaret enjoyed traveling to Hawaii and entertaining family and friends.

James was predeceased by his wife Margaret in 2002 and his daughter Rita in 2007.

He is survived by his three children Mona Summers, Gregory Tostenson, Tina Sancedo; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren with one on the way; and one great great grandson.

James was a member of the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament and several other local organizations.
