Hagan, Julianna “Judy” (nee McGrath) of Sacramento died peacefully in her home on September 13, 2025 surrounded by her family. Born in New York City on February 15, 1938 to Irish immigrants Thomas and Bridget McGrath. Preceded in death by husband, Benjamin Jr., siblings, Margaret, Nora, Thomas, & Theresa. Survived by siblings, Kathleen & John. Loving mother to Benjamin III (Emily), Norah Sheren, & Daniel (Joanna). Proud grandmother to Spencer, Nathan, Benny, Jake, & Tommy. After 15 yrs. of parochial school education, she graduated from St. Vincent’s School of Nursing in 1958. She ventured to the west coast (SF) with nursing school friends and CA became home. Her nursing career spanned several hospitals in San Francisco and after moving to Sacramento she worked at all 3 Mercy Hospitals & retired in 2003. She believed that a career in nursing was her calling, guided by a guardian angel.
