It has taken me an unusual length of time to accept and respond to this loss. It has been very hard to find the words, which is not not like me.
Kendall impacted thousands of lives. His memory will live on in all of us who were lucky enough to have experienced his gentle manner, his sense of humor and generous nature. He treated all of us as though our opinions mattered. He fostered our talents and celebrated our successes. He believed in us and taught us to believe in ourselves. 
I was blessed to have Kendall as my voice coach for many years and he never allowed me to not do my best. He was honest but always kind.  He was my biggest supporter and cheerleader. I could never say thank you enough. 
To  Kendall's family, I send my deepest condolences. 
Kendall- I am glad your suffering is behind you. You mattered to so many. I will leave you with the words you left me with on my graduation- "...your wit and wisdom will be missed but always remembered with loving care and fondness."

Kendall was one of my earliest mentors when he returned to CK McClatchy as a student teacher. His  enthusiasm for music was infectious and it really stimulated my interest in music throughout my high school and college years. I’m grateful for his kindness, humor and friendship. My condolences to Stacey and all of Kendall’s family.

My heartfelt sympathies go out to Stacy and Steve, Kendall's siblings and the family. Kendall and I were at our 50th high school reunion C. K. McClatchy class of '74 last September 2024. A man of Dignity, Grace, Compassion and Love he will forever be an Inspiration to me.  I visited him at his house shortly after our 50th for a good hour. Reminisced about our times in music together. Too much to mention here. It was so special to me. RIP Kendall

I’m so wonderfully blessed to have been one of Kendall’s first students and, later, a colleague. His sense of kindness, understanding, and encouragement has helped me accomplish more than I ever believed I could and helped shape me into the musician and teacher I am today.
