

For 63 years, Marge was the beloved wife of Ted Derdowski. She was preceded in death by her parents, Brad and Katherine Kern, sister Rosalie and brother Tony, son Peter Eugene, daughter Monica Ann and her miscarried Baby Derdowski.
She is survived by daughters Sheryl (Brian) of La Grande, OR and Annette of Sacramento and son Michael (Carole) of Elk Grove, CA. She is also survived by grandchildren Adam (Robyn), Olivia, Krista (Andrew) and Elliott.
Marge grew up in Pasadena and Altadena in southern California, attending Catholic schools and St. Andrews High School. Marge graduated nursing school at Saint Vincent’s in Los Angeles and then worked in the last polio epidemic in Los Angeles county.
Marge married Ted at Saints Felicitas and Perpetua Catholic Church in San Marino.
Marge was active in Al-Anon since the early 60’s and was on the Board of Directors for Gateway Foundation for Women for 20 years with Ted before becoming their Director.
Marge was also very active in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal, helping lead prayer meetings, giving Life In The Spirit Seminars, and serving on the Bishop’s Liaison Team.
Friends are welcome for Visitation Monday, April 27 at Lombard’s Funeral Home, 1550 Fulton Avenue in Sacramento. Rosary to be led at 6:00pm.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, April 28 at 11:00 am at Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 4123 Robertson Avenue in Sacramento to be followed by a reception in the Immaculata, directly behind the Church. Graveside service will follow afterwards at Calvary Cemetery.
