Maricio Cristian Lopez

Maricio Lopez, also known as Mar, was born and raised in Sacramento, CA, in the Oak Park Area, where he was raised in a household of one older sister and brother with his mother. Being the youngest child on his mother's side, he created many memories with his family and around the neighborhood.

Maricio graduated from high school from John muir charter October 8th, 2013, where he later made a career at the California Conservation Corps (CCC) and later self-promoted his career to Cal Trans ( Department of Transportation). Maricio loved what he did for his community in landscaping and keeping roads clear of debris for all safety measures, such as keeping freeways clear and safe for drivers. Taking a pause early in his career in 2023 due to an unexpected diagnosis of Pancreatic Cancer. After finding out sad news, Maricio did not let that keep him down. He distracted himself with his family by traveling and being a part of his youngest son's sports.

Maricio loved pets and wildlife and captured every moment with Mother Nature. He loved taking long drives and taking the scenic route to capture memories and moments with his Wife and two sons. In the summer of 2025, Maricio and his wife found out they were having a baby girl to complete their family, since he already had two sons, and were overjoyed that she would bring much happiness to the entire family.

In Maricio's late days, he didn’t let pain stop him. He always assured everyone who checked on him that he was okay, and he put all his trust into God until He was called home on December 17th 2025.
