I just recently heard about Nate's passing and I must say that I am beyond devastated. Nate was a great guy and one of the very first people who befriended me when I first moved to Davis back in the fifth grade.
I have very fond memories of car pooling with Nate when we both had to go to summer school during our junior year of high school, and then rushing home because he wanted catch reruns of "The Love Boat" on TV.  He was truly a funny guy even when he wasn't trying to be, and always found a way to make me  laugh.
At our 20th high school (where I last saw him), he even remember the weird long forgotten things I use to say when we car pooled that summer.
I will truly miss Nate, and I give his siblings, Jack and Courtney, whom he talked so fondly about and loved so much, my sincere and heart felt condolences.   Farewell my dear friend.  You will be dearly missed.

Nate was one of the most Zen people I’ve ever known, and to have that energy in a commercial real estate office is unheard of.  

His peace and calm radiated.  It made it so easy to like him.  And I did.  Very much. 

I liked that he liked Cat Stevens.  I loved that he’d blush when I called him “Baby Face”.  

I am deeply sorry for the loss of this fine man.  The planet is a slightly darker place now.  I pray that Nate is at peace.

We mourn for the loss of an exceptional, brave and sweet cousin, father, son, brother, husband, friend and human. His humor and kindness will be missed. We're grateful for the videos of him spending time with his daughter are filled with love and joy. We hold him and his entire family in our hearts at this difficult time. All our love and sympathy.
