Randall Miguel Schaber

Gone too soon, Randy passed away on January 16, 2011. He was born in Sacramento on May 27, 1961 and is survived by his children, Stephanie, Julia and Max; his mother Bernadine; grandmother Edna Hietala; sisters, Sandra and Cynthia; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends. Awaiting Randy in Heaven are his father Gary; uncle Gordon - former Dean of McGeorge School of Law; grandparents, Ronald and Esther, and grandfather Rudolph Hietala. The local land developer and entrepreneur graduated with honors from Christian Brothers and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from U.O.P. in '83. Randy was an active board member for the Sacramento Food Bank, Metro Chamber of Commerce, Somers Building Maintenance, Inc., Crocker Art Museum and Harry S. Truman Club. Aside from spending time with his family, he loved golfing, running, cooking, and traveling around Mexico and Europe. He will forever be remembered in our hearts as a loving father, devoted son and caring friend. Friends are welcome for visitation Monday, Jan. 24, 2011 between the hours of 3:00 and 7:00pm at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd., 451-7284 and join us in celebrating his life Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011 at 2:00pm at St. John's Lutheran Church, 17th and L Streets. Reception to follow at Church Hall. Private entombment, East Lawn Cemetery.
