

Bob spent his childhood and youth traveling with his family as the son of an officer in the US Airforce. He lived in various parts of Europe and the East Coast of the United States before settling as an adult in the Sacramento area. Bob worked for the state of California at the department of food and agriculture as a file clerk, then as an auto mechanic at the state garage and later as a parking attendant at the state capitol building in Sacramento before becoming disabled and retiring early. Bob was deeply spiritual, he loved music, animals, and spending time with his family.
Bob is survived by his 4 Children; son Johnny (Brandy) LeGay, daughters Amanda (Slate) Bryer and Patricia (Matthew) Schleeter, and his bonus daughter Lindsey Barsuglia, 8 grandchildren; Austin (Katie) LeGay, Brandon LeGay, Dylan LeGay, Kaitlyn Bryer, Bradley Bryer, William Schleeter, Julie Schleeter and Charles Mitchell, 2 sisters; Barbara (Don) Worster and Elizabeth (Scott Grosby) O’Kane, 2 great grandsons Luke and Liam LeGay, his ex-wife and close friend Mary O’Kane and his best friend Karri Weiner. Bob was preceded in death by his Mother Margaret O’Kane and his Father Col. Robert W. O’Kane Sr.
A celebration of life will be held for Bob in mid-September, details are to be announced.
