Born January 24, 1950 in Ata, Oklahoma went to be with the Lord on September 28, 2015 in Sacramento, California. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Dale Duane Slocum who she was married to for 37 years at the time of his passing. She is survived by her daughters: Shawna Morgan and Cheryl Verdolivo of Rancho Cordova, CA. Saundra graduated from Foothill High School in Bakersfield, CA in 1968. She worked for Agilent Technologies for 23 years before retiring due to her health. Saundra is preceded in death by her oldest sister, Venoria Pavlusky and survived by her older sister, Janette Payne and two younger sisters, Sammy Boone and Carolyn Blevins. She adored her grandchildren, Aaron, Nicole, Allison, Connor, Candise, and Caleb as well as her great grandchildren, Mikayla, Adalyn, and Aaron Jr.
Saundra enjoyed going to church and anything involving church functions. Spending time with family was very important to her. She had a soft place in her heart for children and loved all of them. She loved to sing gospel songs as well as old songs she grew up with. She was a very giving person that gave to church ministries, family, friends, animals, as well as strangers. I believe if she were here today she would say, we are not promised tomorrow. If you don’t know Jesus then ask him to come into your heart and forgive your sins. Never take your life or family for granted. Spend as much time with those you love because there will come a day when they too will go to be with the Lord.
