

Wilbert was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He was incredibly generous, and strong in every imaginable way. He worked as a grocer for over 25 years, and he was also a very talented artist. He will always be greatly loved and admired by his family and others. He is survived by his wife Lili; children Darryl, David, Pearl (John) Salmeron, John (Jana Din); grandchildren Jayla, Zack, Eric, Cheyenne, Daniel, Miya, Aiden; siblings (Katie), Virginia (Charles) Tong, George (Sandra), Dorothy Denham; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He is preceded in death by siblings Ock (Mary), Amy (Richard) Der, and Robert.
Wilbert was born on December 12, 1922 in Toishan, China to Fee and Shee Gee Lee. He immigrated at the age of 9 to the United States in 1932 with his mother and sister Amy. He attended Lincoln Jr High and graduated from Sacramento High School in 1942. He married Lili, his wife of nearly 68 years, on January 17, 1948.
A funeral will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015, at 11am at Harry A. Nauman & Son, 4041 Freeport Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95822, with a reception to follow at Fortune House, 1211 Broadway, Sacramento, CA 95818. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Wilbert’s life.
