My dearest Dad.

On this Father's Day, I think of you deeply.  I have missed you so much.  Although you are not here in body, I feel your presence daily.  I love you to eternity.

From the first moment we met Wilbert and Lili at their Chinese New Year's celebration in their home 33 years ago, they graciously welcomed us with their warm hospitality. As the years went by, they never ceased to make us feel like family. Wilbert was the loving patriarch of the Lee clan, respected and admired by all who knew him. Whether he (and his beloved Lili) were hosting a celebratory gathering, or generously offering child-care for their grandchildren (when they were young), they have been guiding beacons of light for all of us to follow! 

There was no greater love in Wilbert's life than his cherished wife Lili and their beautiful family. He was so proud of his children and grandchildren. Wilbert helped guide them by not only his wisdom and experience, but also by his actions. He was a man of integrity and fortitude, whose inner strength and determination gave him the courage to tackle even the most difficult challenges in life. When given praise or recognition for his attributes, he focused the spot-light on others instead. Wilbert passed his torch to each of his descendants to help light their way in the world. They are his greatest legacy, and a part of him will forever live on in the countless gifts he enriched their lives with. We were all touched by his authenticity and humbleness (rare qualities to be admired and emulated). Wilbert will be sadly missed by all of us who loved him, but he will never be forgotten.

Sweet blessings to Wilbert and his transition to the other side. Healing blessings to all his family and be filled with the many cherished memories of this good, caring, thoughtful, artistic man.

It is with heavy heart I write this tribute to my Uncle Wilbert, his passing has saddened me with regret that I did not have a chance to properly say goodbye,I will always cherish fond memories of him, my deepest condolences to my Aunt Lili and my cousins

I have so many fond memories of Wilbert since I have known him since I was 8 years old!  From the beginning he (and Lili) have treated me as one of their own. I remember visiting him with John at "Lee's Market", and he let me pick as much candy as I wanted....every child's dream.  I loved sitting at the table sharing many delicious home cooked meals and entertaining stories.  And, boy, could that man carve a turkey (or any other type of fowl)!  Thanks Wilbert for so many things...kindness, generosity, and thoughtfulness always.  You will be greatly missed!  Love, Andrea

Uncle Wilbert has always been an example and model to me and my siblings as a man of great outer and inner strength.  Growing up, we lived in San Jose.  We always enjoyed going over to Uncle Wilbert's and Auntie Lili's house to admire Uncle's art, his garden, the delicious food, the 7-Up, his scoldings when we got a bit naughty.  My Mom, Dorothy, always spoke of how he took good care of all his brothers and sisters.  So many wonderful memories!  We send our deepest love and sympathies to Auntie Lili, our cousins, second cousins and all family!

Uncle Wilbert's passing was a sudden heartbreaking news to all of us. We remembered him for having a remarkably sharp memory.  He was a strong man to his family and others.  He will be greatly missed and not forgotten.

John and I were SO SO sorry to hear of Wilbert's death this week.  He was a very special man, the father-in-law of our oldest son (John).  The times that we have had with him were very special.  His smile was unique and defined him. May he rest in peace and may his family remember him as a wonderful man.

The news of my uncle's passing left a big pit in my stomach. He was our favorite Uncle, generous, kind, and gracious. It was such a gift to have known him and such luck that he was a part of our family. He shared his warmth and humor during the wonderful times, and his compassion and understanding during the hard times. His peaceful, loving, nature, made him a true hero ....and shrank the distance in miles that separated our families. I will always be grateful for his support and take comfort in the wonderful family that we share, our thoughts and prayers are with my Aunt Lili, Darryl, David, Pearl, John, and the kids. We will miss you Uncle Willie!

We are so sad to hear of the passing of my favorite, Uncle Wibur, who was one of the greatest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. This warm, gentle human being never once uttered a negative word and always shared his calm, caring voice of reason in wonderful conversation. He was the window to my family's history and was a wealth of knowledge, humor and kindness. I only wish that my family and I could have spent more time with him. One of our trips to Sacramento was for his 80th birthday and I remember seeing all the people, who loved him, and will always remember his smile and heart warming laugh. My last conversation with him was in May, when I woke him up at 5:30 am to ask him questions about my grandfather for my son's class presentation. Even at 5:30 in the morning he was warm, funny, gracious and elegant. 
His life in this world may have been long in years but it was still not enough for me. We will miss him terribly and I only hope I will raise my children to be just as gracious and kind as he was. Love you always, Uncle Wilbur. Miss you and RIP. Our sympathies to my beautiful Aunt Lili and to the Lee and Mah families. We are thinking of you all from Brooklyn and Montreal.
