Born in Modesto, CA August 23, 1949, passed away in Fair Oaks, CA June 29, 2011 at the age of 61 years. Survived by his longtime companion Lela Feliz, daughter Kellie Shannon, sister Linda 'Shannon' Zenz, brother Danny Shannon, and by numerous cousins, nieces & nephews. Predeceased by his son Michael Shannon, parents Lydia & William Shannon.
Rodger was always a leader even in elementary & high school. He had a natural talent in working with his hands. He was skilled in cabinetry and construction. He worked as a roofer and painter. He loved children & animals. Above all, he had a kind and gentle heart.
Family and friends are welcome to attend services Friday, July 8, 2011 at 1:00pm at Lakewood Funeral Home, 900 Santa Fe Ave., Hughson, CA 95636.
