Joe was the beloved son of the late Charles P. Troll, Sr. and the late Lucille A. Troll (nee: Cahill); loving husband of the late Norma Jean Troll (nee: Raines); devoted father of Daniel Troll, Mark (Jackie) Troll, and the late Nicholas Troll; dear grandfather of Carissa Hedrick, Lori Reisinger, and Christina Troll-Reeves; and dearest great grandfather of Kara Hedrick, Hannah Hedrick, Nicholas Troll-Horton, Eliza Muhammad, Abigail Reisinger, Jeremy Farr, and Jillian Reeves. Joe is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is also preceded in death by his siblings, Jack Troll, Tom Troll, and Nancy Quinn.
Joe proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a lifetime member and proud retiree of Glaziers Local 513. In his younger years, he enjoyed handball, racquetball, and other forms of exercise in order to keep himself in shape; and he also enjoyed going deer hunting from time to time. Joe and his wife, Norma Jean, loved to go bowling and did so every week with their fellow Local 513 members. He and his wife also went to church together every week, until her untimely passing at the young age of 58. Joe was a man of habit who strictly adhered to his daily schedule. He had solid values and firmly believed that a man should be loyal and honest, and always pay his debts. Joe lived a simple life and believed in never getting more than you need and not wasting anything. He was a great man who loved his family and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Joe’s name to the Lung Cancer Foundation of America.
