

Norman C. Alexander, Jr., 85, of St. Louis, MO passed away peacefully on April 13, 2016. He is preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Beatrice (nee Pruitt) Alexander, Sr., his wife, Opal Alexander, and his brothers, Roger (surviving Dorothy) Alexander, and Kenneth (surviving Ann) Alexander. Norman is survived by his children, Rebecca Alexander, Karen (Rodney) Ellsworth, and Timothy Scott Alexander; grandchildren, Stacie Alexander, Crystal (Nki) Isaac-Calloway, Timothy Alexander, and Eric Ellsworth; great grandchildren, Noah Sorrells and Nehemiah Isaac-Calloway; siblings, Margaret Little, Dwayne (Sue) Alexander, Shirley (Dale) Davis, Betty (Jim) Maddox, Harold Alexander, Danny (Theresa) Alexander, Brenda (Ken) Franklin, and Linda (Dennis) Hanley; dear uncle, brother-in-law, and cousin to many.
Norman was a hard-working man who taught his children to have the same values and work ethic. He was a proud US Army veteran, serving as a sergeant, medic, and paratrooper. He loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He was an accomplished wood worker who made many special items for his family. His incredible kindness, love, and generosity will be missed.
Friends may visit on Sunday, April 17, 2016 from 2-6 p.m. at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home in St. Ann. Funeral service is at the funeral home on Monday, April 18, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. with interment to follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
