Kennedy, Robert 92, of St. Louis, Missouri on Sunday September 4, 2011. Beloved husband of the late Margaret Mary Kennedy for almost 60 years; loving father of Marilyn Kennedy, Joan Kennedy, Donald Kennedy, Edward Kennedy, and the late Carol Kennedy-Vietor; dear grandfather of Sydney Rakic, Tracy Allmon and Crystal Kennedy; dear great grandfather of Ashton Culley, Jake Allmon, Jason Hinson and Aaliyah Jones; dear uncle of Bill Downey, Mary Slykhous, Kay Downey, Sheilah DesRocher, Julie Downey, Beth Province, Tom Downey, Patrick Downey and Dana Ferrero; dear cousin of Harold Lallinger, Ralph Niederhoffer and Sis Suren Renner; dear friend and colleague to Ray Piontek and the late Bill Briggs.
Robert was retired from O’Fallon Technical High, where he taught radio and television. He served during WWII in the Navy where he rose to Chief Petty Officer in Naval Communications.
