Robert graduated from Soldan High School and served his country as a dedicated member of the United States Army for several years.
Robert accepted Jesus Christ and was baptized at an early age. He carried the loving discipline and influence of his parents with him throughout his life.
Robert had a quiet personality yet carried a strong presence where ever he went and left an impact on those around him.
He was awarded a music scholarship in his younger years, which was evidence of his unforgettable love for music. He played the guitar in several bands in his life, one specifically called The Bible Tones. Anyone who knew him recognized his gift of music and he also enjoyed dancing.
Preceding him in death are; his wife Richelle Diane Stephens, father Lown Stephens, and brother Ricky Stephens.
Leaving to mourn & celebrate his life are his sons; Jerel and Conan Stephens (Meyoshia), mother; Mollie
Stephens, grandchildren; Laquita Stephens & Conan Jr, siblings; Edward Stephens (Katherine) & Marilyn Dixson (Samuel), and many nieces and nephews.
He also leaves long time friends; Brenda Giltner & Marlon Bennett.
