Dear Family of Steve Bauer:  On behalf of his neighbors here on Hillcrest Drive, let me say that he was a person that we were all blessed to have known. Words can't express what you mean to us.  We love you always!

My memories of Steve were from many years ago. I recall that he was a man of integrity. He never failed to do what he said he would do, and he was always there when he said he would be there.  Being remembered for this trait is one of the many legacies that Steve has left behind.

Steve,you was the best father a kid could ever ask for.And you was the twinkle in Logans eye.We both looked up to you in more ways in one.You was a good kind hearted man that did anything and everything that anyone has ever ask for,We will always love and miss you for the rest of our lives.

Being a father doesn't have to be through blood, or marriage, which  Steven M. Bauer was neither for me. To me being a father is a man who helps take part in raising a child as one of their own. And thats what Steve did for me, he took part in raising me and my siblings. Steven M. Bauer was my father, my dad.

Steve, you were just a good guy!  I remember when you and Wayne tried to teach us wrestling...and would torment us in a good way as only older cousins can do.

Since the first day you walked into our family, I knew that you were going to be the Dad that I never had. Even though we are not blood related, in my heart you was and always will be my true Dad. No one can take that away from us. My only regret is that 15 years with you Dad, just wasnt long enough. I guess thats me being selfish because I want more time. I will always remember you and love you with all my heart. And one day we will see each other again.
