

Wendy Arlene Veczko, entered eternal rest on November 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 2, 1959, in Hartford, Connecticut, to the late Donald and Marianne Steere, Wendy lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and a deep devotion to others.
Wendy grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, where she graduated from Samuel W. Wolfson High School before attending Jacksonville University. She carried a warm and caring spirit into every chapter of her life, a spirit that flourished in her work within the hospitality industry. Her dedication to serving others reflected her natural ability to make everyone feel welcome, appreciated, and cared for.
A devoted mother, grandmother, and a constant source of love and comfort, Wendy cherished her family beyond measure. She also had a heartfelt affection for animals—especially her loyal dog, Tucker—and a giving nature that touched all who knew her. She took great pleasure in watching football and found special joy in supporting her beloved Los Angeles Rams, celebrating each game with heartfelt enthusiasm.
Wendy shared 23 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, John David Braendle, building a life grounded in love, faith, and mutual devotion. A strong believer, she was a dedicated member of Hendricks Avenue Baptist Church, where she lived out her faith through compassion, humility, and service.
Wendy is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, John David Braendle; son, Michael Veczko (Nevi); sister, Karen Martin (Joseph); and her granddaughter, Isla. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Tucker.
Wendy was preceded in death by her parents, Wendy leaves behind a legacy of faith, kindness, and heartfelt service that will remain forever in the hearts of those who were blessed to share in her life.
A celebration of Wendy’s life will be held at a later date, with details to be announced by the family.
