Artie Todd Lawrence Carpenter

Artie Todd Carpenter (nee Lawrence) Born January 10, 1914 in rural Mississippi and died on Monday, April 11, 2011 in Piedmont, Missouri; Artie left Mississippi during the great depression and moved to Memphis, TN. There, she met George Todd who was born in upstate New York. They were Married and moved to St. Louis where they made their home for many years. They had on son, Robert (Patricia) Todd of Piedmont, MO, two grandchildren Kimberly (Bud) Dickerson and Boyd “Bo” (Margie) Todd, 5 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. George died in 1980. Artie remarried at age 76 to Floyd Carpenter. He died in 2000. Artie then moved to Piedmont. She was an artist and exhibited at many art shows in the St. Louis area.

SERVICES: Visitation from 10am Wednesday, April 13, 2011 until time of service at 12:00 pm at White-Mullen Mortuary, 118 N. Florissant Rd., Ferguson, MO. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.
